Lot’s of people who play World of Warcraft wonder where the dances come from. Well, each dance from each race and sex has a unique origin–with only a couple exceptions. I won’t list them all here only the more rare ones that I get asked about a lot. However, for a good complete list of dance sources check out the Dancing page on WoWWiki.com.The female Draenai dance is based upon a belly dancing routine from Shakira.

The female Night Elf dance is J’en Ai Marre by Alizee.

The Druid travel form dance is from Scar in The Lion King doing “I’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts”. It’s a just a tiny, tiny portion of the scene and the video is seriously funny below.

The Baby Murloc pet does the Michigan Rag.

Most interesting is the Fel Reaver. He has a dance, but you can’t see it unless you use the WoW Model Viewer and it is not really a dance, but more a workout.Check out the WoWWiki site for more.
